Mohammed Akram Rana known to his friends as "Akram" has lived in Crawley since the early 1970's. In his professional life Akram has practised as a Barrister for 19 years in both the civil and criminal courts advising and representing all sectors of the community including businessmen, professionals and families.
Both as a child and as an adult, Akram has lived through the numerous changes in Crawley and witnessed its growth and development with keen interest. Akram attended local schools and now he attends as a parent as all of his children attend local schools: his own parents worked and retired in Crawley. Akram passionately cares about all sectors of the Crawley community and would welcome the opportunity to serve that community as a representative of the residents of Maidenbower.
If elected, Akram will ensure that the residents of Maidenbower are properly represented. He will hold regular surgeries for local residents to ensure that their views are properly dealt with at Crawley Borough Council meetings and that the needs of the Maidenbower constituents are not forgotten.
