I’m getting in touch to offer help with crowdfunding your campaigns during the 2018 local elections. The Crowdpac team has worked with a range of Labour Party groups, campaigns, trade unions and associated organisations including Momentum and Progress over the last year, successfully crowdfunding their activities since we launched in 2016.

Crowdpac will be running a “vote-matching” service helping voters identity and explore which parties and campaigns are closest to their views in the upcoming local elections, as well as providing the opportunity to give crowdfunding donations to those parties that best align with their views and values. Closer to the election we’ll be sending out the campaigns hosted on Crowdpac to those whose politics match – sending Labour campaigns to left-wing users for example.

Crowdpac has helped level the playing field and lower the financial barriers to political participation, giving candidates without big party machinery a better chance to finance their campaigns. Would you be interested in setting up a crowdfunding page to accept donations for your campaign?

As a company we’re open and non-partisan. Crowdpac was co-founded by Paul Hilder, who is on the left and founded online campaigning platforms, 38 Degrees and, and by Steve Hilton, on the right, David Cameron’s former Director of Strategy.

Let me know if this is of interest,

All the best,

James Moulding

Dear colleague,

My name is Jerry Weber and I am the chair of Warwick & Leamington CLP. I was also the agent for Matt Western at the General Election in June where we pulled off a remarkable victory and overturned a Tory majority of 6,500.

I am standing as a non-aligned and independent candidate for one of the CLP places on the NEC.

I am standing because I am very concerned about the continuing rift and discord within the Party. It really is time we put our differences behind us and started to build a party to offer the electorate a real alternative. The Party needs reforming. I will be committed to open processes and transparency in dealing with difficult issues such as suspensions and expulsion from the Party.

I hope that you will be holding a nomination meeting and that you will support me and give an independent voice a chance to be on the ballot paper. Although I am a member of the Co-operative Party, I am not aligned to any other group. I believe that CLP representatives on the NEC need to be independent and not dependent on groups such as Momentum and Progress.

The NEC is our key body that directs the future of the Party. If elected, I will be a grassroots member of the NEC.

Check out my flyer on Facebook

I look forward to your support.

Best wishes

I wrote this letter to the Worthing Herald and posted it on Facebook. A reader suggested I contact Sue Mullins to try to discover why the County Council have taken this stance as regards energy policy. Many residents are so upset about the prospect of more oil drilling and fracking in Sussex which will effect our water and air quality we can’t understand why the council is so unaware of the consequences of its choices. Is there no chance of a change or do we have to wait until ukog loses well integrity and as all wells leak eventually, the river Arun will be filled with carbon tetrachloride and our potable water will go to pot literally.

Dear Editor,

I would just like to comment on this article on flood prevention. West Sussex as a County Council are accepting all licenses applied for by UK Oil and Gas in Billingshurst and Angus Energy in Bognor to begin with, plus others in the pipeline. These will lead to fracking and acidisation which in their turn lead to methane and many other noxious gases escaping into the atmosphere or being flared off. Methane is 87 times more powerful than carbon dioxide over a twenty year period at raising earth’s temperatures and hence speeding up the ice melt and sea level rise.

Even in Brighton museum there is a display that confirms the inevitable 6 feet rise by 2100 if we drastically cut our fossil fuel use. However West Sussex is glibly going to exacerbate climate change and then the museum warns, as do many other studies, it could be 600 feet. Telling us to wear bright colours and sweep leaves away from drains, just is completely tragic as a solution to flooding in Sussex.

Councillors are responsible for our futures. Their understanding of scientific evidence is thus not only abysmal, but by the end of the century could see our properties underwater and worthless. We have to sacrifice the already tumbled in value shares the council has in oil and gas, and move to renewables and better public transport if we want to preserve our beautiful coastal towns.

Yours Sincerely

Julia Owen.

Hi, my name is Michal Filipkowski

I would like to inform you about brutal organ harvesting in China, Im asking you to spread the information with your colleagues, as this brutality must end, and I don’t think that many people knows about it.

Organ harvesting is happening every single day, and as CCP believes in atheism, they are destroying ancient Chinese culture and try to remove morals from people, who only believes in their propaganda and their leader.

They mainly kill Falun Gong practitioners, as they don’t drink, smoke, don’t take drugs and their body is clean, their organs are pure so CCP is making big profit on it. They also kill House Christians, Catholics, Buddhists and Tibetans. Everyone who believes in freedom.

Let me explain the practice first.

Falun Gong also called Falun Dafa, has ben taught to public by Mr. Li Honghzi, in 1992 in China. As the practice spreads quickly, in 1999 there was about 70-100 million people practicing Falun Gong in China. The teachings Li taught was to follow three principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, followed by 5 simple exercises to maintain the health of your body.

As the practice spreads, violence and crime in the whole China hits its lowest and the morals goes up, in 1998, a Chinese government survey showed that there were more people practicing Falun Gong than there were members of CCP, and the CCP seeks to control all volunteer organizations, religions and media in China and it suppresses those that don’t submit to its control, including Falun Gong.

The persecution of Falun Gong started at 1999 by Communist Party to eliminate the spiritual practice in China. It is characterized by multifaceted propaganda campaign, a program of enforced ideological conversion and re-education, arbitrary arrests, forced labor, and physical torture sometimes resulting in death.

There is also a doctor organization in the US, fighting for Human Rights and this brutal genocide.

The organization is called DAFOH – Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting and their website is

Now please, tell me, is Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance bad? Im writing to you to help and to start talk about it when you talk with media or the newspapers, share it with your friends if its possible, and let people know that the persecution is happening and it has to stop. We do loads of petitioning and it does makes huge impact, television streams videos, people write blogs about it and the CCP don’t persecute as many people as they were in 1999, however they still make huge money of selling organs on the black market.

If you would be that kind to help me and make my voice heard, it would also give your party more support from people.

Below I’ll give you some youtube links and websites where you can learn more about it.

Reports about persecution:

I would really appreciate any help, thank you very much for your time, and thanks for reading.

Kind regards,

Dear sir this is not the fist time that I have needed to contact you on this subject of what is Junk Mail.

Please tell your leaflet droppers that when there is a sign saying “NO JUNK MAIL” that means that if it does not have my name and address on it then it is JUNK MAIL. I have just handed back leaflets that were posted through my letter box and the woman said in a very rude tone that it is not junk mail it’s from the Labour party. And then she had the audacity to post it again through my letter box and make run for it that I clearly saw from my window. That in itself clearly states that the Labour Party is not to be trusted, "HOW DARE " She deliberately go against my wishes.

This kind of action will not be tollerated and I intend to contact the Labour Party head office and put in a formal complaint. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU DEAL WITH THIS. I have never voted for Labour and I never will.

Please can anyone tell me whether or not Labour if they win the general election, will cancel immediately ATOS, MAXIMUS Work Capability Assessments and the harsh treatment from JobCentre Staff? The rudeness and humiliation to those unable to be disabled or too sick to work is disgraceful and our benefits cut. My carer has to financially support me during my weeks otherwise I would also be at the food banks. What is labour’s commitment to this and can we sue ATOS if you win? Many thanks Crawley resident.

Hi, I contacted you before to ask if Tim could come and talk at an assembly at Holy Trinity School in Crawley, before the election.

I have had replies from Henry and Marko that they can do either the 12th or the 19th at 8.50-9.15 am and would like to get it organised but haven’t heard from you. Please can you let me know if you can send Tim or a representative as soon as possible?

Who is representing Labour for the election? Can this person give me the following info:

1) Your opinion of Tony Blair in relation to his honesty in the run up to the British Invasion of Iraq concerning the threat from Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

2) Did you vote for Brexit? Or were you a remainer? Are you still a remainer? Give your answers and explain.

3) Your candidate must outline on 100 words what private members bill they would bring to the Commons given the chance.

Dear Sir, I had some one putting leaflets about your party through my letter box on Sat afternoon, I pointed out that there was a large sign on my door stating NO JUNK MAIL. The arrogance of this moron was astounding and did not fair well for your party. I explained that anything that was not named and addressed to me and delivered by the post man was classed as JUNK MAIL but he would not have it. May I suggest that you enlighten these people as they are really annoying and should respect our privacy. “NO JUNK MAIL” includes all party political crap.

I am a Labour Party member in East Surrey but I am also Divisional Secretary for West Sussex NUT. We are holding a public meeting on education in Crawley Civic Hall on Wednesday 28th September from 7 to 9 pm. I thought this might be on interest to Labour Party members in Crawley. I can email you a flyer but would also appreciate any community places you know where I could put up posters to advertise the meeting.

Hello. I am a life-long supporter of the Labour party, and am now in the mid-30s. While I have a busy and active life, with work, social events and various organisations I support, I would like to do what I reasonably can to support the party even more. Many of the recent events in the UK, and throughout the world, have made me want to do more to fight for a better, fairer society and, as I have always felt, the best party to do this is undoubtedly Labour. I do not live in Crawley, but do live just outside of it (I work in Crawley). I would love to know any ways in which people can suggest so I can consider them, and hopefully give more support to the party. Thank you for taking the time to read this. All the best!

I am disgusted on the way our labour MPs have behaved and how the plotted against their and our leader J. Corbyn. I want to add my voice to many and express my anger and my intention to not vote labour in the future if J.C is removed or prevented to stand for the party leadership election.

I am a lifelong Labour supporter, but left the party through the policies of the Blair/Brown administration. I rejoined to support the nomination of Jeremy Corbyn for leader, and I now follow with interest the shenanigans going on in the party.

It is difficult for me to get out to attend meetings, etc, as I am 71 years old and care for my disabled husband. However, I have learned that there will soon be elections to the NEC, and I am writing to you to ask if the Crawley CLP will be supporting candidates who are loyal to Jeremy Corbyn, or to the faction who refuse to work with him as leader.

I did vote for Jeremy Corby, and I am still 100% for him to be the leader of the

Labour Party.

Chris in the Crawley News says that Jeremy is a kind man.
I am horrified by the cruelty of those Labour MP’s who have resigned from
the shadow cabinet and others working to push him out.
I voted for him because he is a democratic thoughtful man whose values seem kind.

Without kindness we are nothing.
I don’t want a charismatic ‘superhero’ type to wants to do our thinking for
us and tell us what we should and should not support.
Thank you to Jeremy Corbyn for his steadfast respect of the ordinary people
of this country and many other countries.
He seems to a man who respects our right to consider issues according to our values and beliefs and then respect our right to vote according to them.
He did not fail as party leader. He succeeded.

I’ve started voting Labour again and joined the Labour party once it had people leading it who had not voted in support of the Iraq War, who were in favour of talking to all groups.

If we sacrifice our values in order to get into power, then our greatest value appears to be being ‘in power’ and power itself.

Dear Mr Oxlade,

I am extremely disappointed in your decision to sign a Councillor led vote of no confidence in Mr Jeremy Corbyn as stated in this weeks edition of The Crawley News.

You have not followed the rules governing the Labour Party. Mr Corbyn was given an overwhelming majority last year by the Party Members and Unions and it was made very clear by the PLP that he was not their choice of candidate. The PLP in the media have undermined him at every opportunity and to apportion blame on the result of the referendum is frankly inaccurate and distasteful.

This has been a coup, if members of the Labour Party thought he had lost the support of the Party Members and Unions then they should have followed proceedure and 51 MP’s should have signed support for their nominated candidate to instigate a leadership challenge.

When Labour lost the last election. Members and Unions alike voted for change and a different kind of politics when they chose Mr Corbyn. This is a coup against members that not only pay but dedicate their time to canvas for you.

I urge you to retract your vote of no confidence and follow The Labour Party’s constitutional values and those of democracy. Now is the time to listen to Corbyn’s support and rally around the elected leader of the opposition, not launch an attack that appears to be coordinated by bullies when the country is in a state of flux.

Yours Sincerely

Kerry Flynn

Support for Jeremy Corbyn,

I’m absolutely disgusted by the way the Labour party has handled this undemocratic attempted coop.

He has a madate from the people to lead us into a new era of politics and i dont appreciate the support of local party members being ignored to further their political careers. I don’t care about their careers i care about this sodding awful mess of a country we’ve now found ourselves in.

Please be aware that you will not win, if Jeremy goes I, and thousand like me will go and will never vote labour again. Put up, shut up, get behind your elected leader and direct your energy at ripping apart the Torys instead of internal point scoring.
